Roy Mathena, has over 30 years of experience with technology leaders in aviation, manufacturing, and engineering, and he holds a Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification from the Project Management Institute. He also holds an FAA Airframe and Powerplant License and an FCC General Radio Telephone License.
Roy also has extensive national and international project management experience, and he has served as VP of Education for the Project Management Institute Palmetto Chapter. In this capacity, he expanded the chapter educational program to include traditional project management courses and Agile project management courses for project managers who are preparing for the Project Management Professional (PMP)® exam. He also served the chapter as an instructor for these courses.
Roy is a PMI Authorized Training Partner Instructor.

PSI Project Management was founded in 2002 as Preproduction Solutions, Inc. to provide project management and process improvement services in engineering, administration, management, business services, and manufacturing.
In 2010, the focus of PSIPM migrated to providing project management training to individuals and corporations. The goal was to transfer the broad project management experiences and knowledge of the founder, Roy Mathena, to as many people and corporations as possible. Training project managers in best practices to use in their specific situations is our goal. Since that transition took place, hundreds of students have been trained in project management and obtained their Project Management Professional Certification from the Project Management Institute, the world’s most recognized and largest project management organization. PSIPM takes a personal interest in helping each individual or organization achieve their personal or corporate goals.
PSIPM is an Authorized Training Partner for the Project Management Institute (PMI). All instructors meet PMI instructor qualifications, have completed the instructor training, and are Authorized Training Partner Instructors.

Chose PSI Project Management’s project management classes because Roy presents not only the PMBOK© information, but also brings his decades of experience to his classes. I was very fortunate to have found PSI Project Management and Roy Mathena for the course work he teaches in Project Management. Roy has a wealth of knowledge and experience in Project Management and ties those real world examples throughout the course. I especially enjoyed the hands-on experience by working through a project from start to finish. The course was virtual each day and after each chapter there was a practice quiz. Practice test opportunities were provided to prepare for the PMP© exam which were very beneficial in understanding the format, type of question and the timing required. I found this test practice to be invaluable and there are several tests to practice on for the final. Roy’s course will fully prepare you for the PMP© exam and what to expect. The instructional material was very helpful and well organized. I often still refer to the documents and templates in the performance of my job. Roy made himself always available for any assistance and I value his insight and professionalism. When he’s not teaching, Roy often provides free seminars in a variety of Project Management topics.
